Log book [microform]. 1840-1841.

The whaling log of the barque "Africaine", from Launceston, on a whaling voyage. She visited the harbours of New Zealand and surrounding waters under the command of William Dutton. The log book was kept by John Cole and Edward Humble and consists of entries of the weather, cargo and whale hunts from 11 March 1840 to 7 September 1841.
